Last week's meeting was really enlightening, if you would like to view it here is a link to the video: https://youtu.be/qpfbpqNYgeQ
As we further explore issues facing our community and potential solutions to these issues, an important perspective is the court's. The crimes they see pass their desks, the gaps they see in current laws, and what works or what doesn't in terms of the systems we have in the court system.
Our upcoming meeting (June 29th at 6 PM at the Branciforte Library) will be the court's perspective on issues facing our community. We have lined up Heather Rogers, Public Defender and Jeff Rossell, District Attorney, to come speak and answer our group's questions.
We hope to see all of you there, please RSVP to this email so we have a rough head count if you plan to attend. Also please share if you have a particular question you want to be sure is addressed.

We have a few more meetings planned, one with our local service providers and we are working on state representatives, but once those are concluded we need to meet as a group, discuss what we have learned, and decide how we want to create action, hold our leaders accountable, and create change to make our community better.
