It was a good day today in the firefight. Cal Fire reports that the burn operation to set the control line around Felton and Ben Lomond is progressing and that 300 new firefighters arrived today. We are grateful to Cal Fire and all of the mutual aid pouring in to stop this fire.
With the arrival of the new resources and positive work today on the control lines, the revised repopulation estimate for Scotts Valley and the unincorporated area around Scotts Valley is a day to days. For Felton it is days to a week and for points north it is a week to weeks. UCSC's evacuation order was lifted tonight, as well.
