There are so many pieces to a real estate contract, and it is VITAL to know what these terms mean to you and your bottom line.
While yes, price is key, there are several other factors that dictate the overall strength of the offer and your net in the end. In our ever evolving market, we are seeing more and more creative offer - if you aren’t being diligent about your contract review - you could be setting yourself up for a let down.

Here are some of the big pieces I point out when reviewing an offer with a client BESIDES price.
Length of escrow: In a changing market this is key
Length and type of contingencies - important to know what their offer is dependent on and how long you need to wait until you know for sure that the contract is the real deal.
“Other Terms” - a nice little hidden gem
What stays and what goes - sometimes items that aren’t even present at the property will be written in - So important to counter that so you aren’t responsible to buy something for the new buyer!
