With yesterday evening’s break in the storm, we went to Blacks + Twin Lakes beaches. The setting was beautiful, and momentarily we were able to separate ourselves from the looming fears these storms have brought and may continue to bring. We were reminded why we love our home so much, the people so strong and resilient, friendly and willing to lend a helping hand. We are so proud to be a part of this community, and while there is ever present fear, anxiety and concern for what all of this damage is going to mean in the days, weeks, and years to come, we are reminded constantly why we choose to live here. This place is only of a kind, our very own paradise. Let’s band together and pick up the pieces to make this place we call home better than it was before.
